The Remsen St. Mary’s Hawks hosted the MMCRU Royals on Tuesday October 8 to face off on the volleyball court. The short distance gave the Hawks a 3-set conference win.
The opening set was slow for the Royals. The Hawks claimed the set, 25-15.
The Royals challenged the Hawks in the second set pushing the set to its max. Set 2 score endd at 25-24 for the Hawks. The third set also fell against the Royals, 25-20, ending the eveing’s play.
The Royals took a shot at more kills and landed more than the Hawks, 32-26, but also produced more kill errors, 24-8.
The Hawks, guarded the net well. They posted 3 solo blocks and 7 assists agains the Royals’ 0 solos and 2 assists.
The Royals placed 9 serves for ace. The Hawks placed 12.
