The MMCRU boys golfed in Remsen on Tuesday the 26th against town rival Remsen St. Mary’s. The Hawks of RSM were 5-1 on the season thanks to an impressive performance from Senior Carter Schorg. Schorg shot a 40 to take first place on Tuesday, while Sophomore teammate Hunter Pick shot a 43 to snatch 2nd. Royal Sophomore Noah Galles took 3rd place with a 45, and Junior K.C. Nicks took 4th with a 46. Senior Preston Astidias shot a 48 to take 9th place. Junior Bryce Tentinger took 10th with a 49. The Hawks took home the win 188-177.
The Lady Royal golfers had a rough day at Remsen as well, failing to the Hawks 240-219. St. Mary’s Senior Sidney Triz would take 1st place with an impressive score of 43. Junior Isabelle Olson took 3rd place for the Royals with a 56. Junior Avery Schlenger got 4th with a 61.
The Lady Royals fail to 1-3, while the boys sit at 1-5.
