Judy Schultz- Bress passed away at her home with her family at her side on Wednesday, February 18th, in Littleton, Colorado. Judy was born April 3rd, 1938 at her grandparents farm in O’ Brian County, to Erna and Delbert Schultz. On June 15th 1938 her father drowned in a fishing accident. Judy was the only child. She was a vibrant member of the Primghar community, active in her high school band, choir, and cheerleading squad, and known for her musical talents on the piano. She met the love of her life, Richard Bress through church , school and they were married on May 5, 1956, at Grace Lutheran Church. They moved to California where Richard was stationed. After Richard’s service in the Marine Corps They moved to Colorado and raised three children, Julie, Marc, and Eric. Judy was a devoted stay-at-home mother before working for 30 years at Highland Elementary, where she helped children with learning disabilities. After retiring in 2005, she and Richard dedicated time to volunteering with Mended Hearts. They were happily married for 64 years until Richard’s passing in 2020. Judy is lovingly remembered by her children, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren for her kind spirit and deep love of family.
