MMCRU Boys Earns Second Round Play

The Royals basketball game template has been a big success for them this season. The team plays a very fast-paced game with very strong defense. Their ability to force turnovers proves over and over how important it is to control possession. Their scoring is always high.
Monday February 16 the the Royals play their game on their home court against the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines. The game worked. While WB-M got a small lead in the opening minutes of the first it didn’t last long. And while the Wolverines put up some good fight, they couldn’t overcome the intensity of play. The continuous clock started in the 3rd quarter. That happens when there is a 35-point spread and continues until the point spread closes to 21 points. The game final was 85-50 and the Royals face Woodbury Central at Marcus Thursday February 19.
West Bend Mallard stats are not available at press time.
Senior Kamden Bork topped the Royals’ scoring with 27 points. Senior Brayson Mulder put in 13 and senior Michael Schmillen scored 11.
