Royals Over Trinity Christian Tigers

The third inning on Monday June 23 proved to be high scoring for both the Royals and the Tigers. The game, at Sunrise Field in Remsen, saw the Royals first to cross the place. They scored once in the opening inning and added 3 more runs in the second while holding the Tigers scoreless.
The third inning gave the Tigers a lot to cheer about. They brought home 4 runners, taking the lead. But the Royals werenÕt having it. They answered with six runs, and adding another run in each of the next two innings while not giving the Tigers any bases.
The sixth inning put a spirit back into the game. The Tigers added 2. The Royals answered twice that. There were no runs for either team in the final. The Royals get a home win 15-6.
Senior Xander Tentinger threw a 4.67 ERA in 3 innings on the mound. He KÕd 7 batters that he faced. Senior Michael Pterson threw 2 innings. He KÕd 2 batters. Junior Gage Johnson won recognition with 3 hits, including a triple, and 3 runs. He poked 2 RBIs. Senior Lucas BraunÕs 3 RBIs led the effort. He put 3 pitches into play for a .750 batting average Monday and scored twice. Royals 27 batting attempts netted 14 team hits with 11 singles, 2 doubles and a triple. The 14 hits converted into 13 RBIs.
