Absentee Voting Begins at Cherokee County Auditor’s Office
Cherokee County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, Kris Glienke, has announced that absentee ballots for the November 5, 2024, General Election will be available to be voted at the Cherokee County Auditor’s Office beginning Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Absentee ballots may be cast in person at the Cherokee County Auditor’s Office at 520 W Main St., Cherokee, IA, during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, through November 4th.
Ballots must be requested in writing and Absentee Ballot Request Forms are available at the Auditor’s Office, or at the Iowa Secretary of State’s web site at sos.iowa.gov.
All requests for ballots to be mailed must be received by the Auditor’s Office by 5 p.m. October 21, 2024. Ballots returned to the Auditor’s Office through the mail must be received by close of polls on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
