The 5k Run/Walk and 1 mile Run/Walk is a fundraiser. All proceeds will be used to support the Marcus Fair.
Date: Saturday, August 10, 2024
Place: Meet at Marcus City Park/Swimming Pool – East side of Marcus Fairgrounds
Events: 5k run/walk and 1 mile run/walk (there are no divisions for the walk and no awards given for the 1 mile event)
Times: Registration/check in: starts at 7:00 am, ends 7:55 am
5k run/walk starts at 8:00 am; 1 mile run/walk starts at 8:05 am
Entry Fee: Early registration on or before July 22 is $20 if registering multiple family members or $25 for an individual. Registration July 23 to the day of the event is $25 per person. Shirts are not guaranteed for NON-PRE REGISTERED runners. We will have a few extra but once they are gone, they are gone.
Fruit and water will be provided for all participants.
5k Run/Walk Divisions: Gender Divisions: Age Division
5k Run /walk Male 12 and under 13-18
5k Run /walk Female 19-29 30-39
40-49 50-59
60 and older
Awards for 5k: $30 cash will be awarded to each overall male and female winner of the 5k event only.
A medal will be awarded to the top 3 finishers of each division. No awards will be presented to the 1 mile runners/walkers.
Course: The courses are through and around the outer edge of the city of Marcus. They are generally flat with small inclines.

Walk and then click on Form. Make checks payable to Marcus Fair. No refunds will be given but T-shirts will be mailed if the event is canceled due to lightning. Listen to KLEM for weather related announcements.
