The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Community School District Board of Directors met in regular joint session on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 6:30 pm in the Remsen-Union Media Center along with the Remsen-Union Community School District Board of Directors. Board members present: Laura Staab, Kristi Letsche Luke Olson and Dan Erickson. Absent: Belinda Leavitt.
Luke Olson made a resolution to approve the request to the School Budget Review Committee and exhibits for hazard abatement at the high school building in the amount of $352,793.52. The district is asking for authority to spend the money in the coming year. The request does not increase taxes. Dan Erickson seconded this resolution as stated.
Dan Erickson moved to approve the resignation of Chelsea Ruden- Shared Board Secretary/HR/Accounts Payable, Melissa Doellinger- Paraprofessional, and Elaine Hageman- Part-time Cook. Also, the hiring of Josie Hermanson- H.S. Science and Vanessa VonSeggern- 5-12 Vocal Music. Kristi Letsche seconded.
Kristi Letche moved to adjourn the meetings at 7:22pm. Dan Erickson seconded.
