The Marcus-Meriden Cleghorn Community School District Board of Directors met in regular joint session on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 6:00pm in the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Commons, along with the Remsen-Union Community School District Board of Directors. Board members present: Laura Staab, Luke Olson, Belinda Leavitt, Dan Erickson, Kristi Letsche.

Laura Staab called the meeting to order at 6:00pm

B.STAFF RESIGNATIONS/HIRES
Dan Erickson moved to approve the resignation of Tyler Rueter as an Elementary Custodian, ending his duties in June. Also, the hiring of Josie Jones- Elementary Paraprofessional. Kristi Letsche seconded.

C SIAC COMMITTEE MEMBER APPROVAL
Belinda Leavitt moved to approve the following members for the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn SIAC Committee: Ellie Durkee, Adam Roberts, Abby Tentinger, Andy Rupp, Shelly Pick, and Dan Heuser. Dan Erickson seconded.
Carried 5-0
Belinda Leavitt exited the meeting at 6:45pm.
D. POLICY REVIEW: SERIES 100
The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn board successfully reviewed the 100 series of the board policies.
E. JR. HIGH WRESTLING COACH(ES)
This was a Remsen-Union item only. No action was taken.
F. OPENING OF SEALED BIDS FOR GENERATOR
Dan Erickson moved to approve the sealed bid of a $555.00 for the generator. Luke Olson seconded.

Laura Staab moved to enter a closed session. Motion carried following a roll call vote as follows: Luke Olson- Aye, Kristi Letsche- Aye, Dan Erickson- Aye. Closed session began at 7:55pm to evaluate Superintendent Dan Barkel.

Dan Erickson moved to exit closed session and adjourn at 9:03pm. Kristi Letsche seconded.
