Construction is being done to the MMCRU elementary and high school for improvement. The construction started toward the end of last summer in 2022. Superintendent Dan Barkel shared information about the progress of the building construction.
Mr. Barkel states the construction is in high gear now. The south hall of the high school will be vacated before March 1, and classes, originally held in the south hall, will be meeting at the Grace Church across the street from the school for the remainder of the year, while the south hall begins the remodeling process.
As soon as the school year is finished in May, the rest of the high school will be remodeled. It will be completed before the beginning of the school year of 2023-2024.
The elementary school will remain connected to the high school and the daycare will be a new addition to the school. The completion date for the new elementary and daycare is October 1. More information will be provided later in the year.
