MMCRU Archery Season
The MMCRU archery team has strong hopes to achieve an outstanding year. With the new year just starting out, they look to improve their performance and hone their skills this school year. Along with the 2022-2023 school year, the archery team received new recruits and a new coach: Patience Nissen-Teepe, a sophomore; Joshua Doellinger, a freshman; Sophie Hohbach, a senior; and Coach Ben.
The coach, Ben Aberson said “I want my archers to improve each season. It doesn’t need to be performance.” He seeks to help each archer improve a little bit either it be mind set or the ability to shoot. The environment for the archery team is calm and inviting. It’s well set up and organized so each person can shoot at once and not one shooter is signaled out.
MMCRU archery’s first meet was in Lawton at 10:30 am, on January 14th. They faced off against other schools in the area. The next meet will be on January 17 and January 20 at Holstein at 3 pm and Marcus at 3:30 pm, respectively.
