Groundbreaking for New Business in
Marcus Business Park

Monday, August 1 many people attended the groundbreaking for the new business in the Marcus Business Park. It was at the February 14 Marcus Council meeting that Morrie Marks, a locker plant USDA inspector, spoke to the Council on having a locker plant in the Business Park area. The Council approved of the new business. Concrete will be poured this fall. Mike Olson is to be putting up the building. The business will be in operation in the near future.
At 5 p.m., Darrell Downs spoke to the crowd that had come to the groundbreaking as to the new business. After others spoke on this new business, the group took to their shovels and “broke ground” amid applause from the crowd.
