Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Certification Training June 30 in Orange City
Producers Can Obtain or Renew Required Certification
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach invites beef producers and agribusiness professionals to a Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification workshop on June 30 at the ISU Extension and Outreach Sioux County office in Orange City from 1 to 3 p.m.
Most packers and lowa livestock auctions require beef producers to be BQA certified.
“The beef industry is focused on sustainability, which is a part of Beef Quality Assurance,” said Beth Doran, beef specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. “We will focus on best management practices at the workshop that are sustainable and that enhance the quality of beef for consumers.”
There is no cost to attend, but registration is required by June 29 and may be made by calling the ISU Extension and Outreach Sioux County office at 712-737-4230.
