The archery team took 11 of the top archers to the national tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah. The seniors were Regan Peters and Brenin Stoddin, the juniors were Emma Vasher, Elizabeth Pederson, and Bryce Staab, the sophomores were Mason Peters, Hayven Hollingshead, Brayden Olson, Caitlin Olson, and Elspeth Hogg, and one freshman, Olivia Spenner. The team left on Wednesday, April 27th and came back to Marcus Monday, May 2nd. They competed on Friday, April 29th in the 3D tournament, the team was ranked 17th in the Western National Tournament. Going down to nationals as a team was a great experience for the kids and great team bonding. Archery is just as much a mental sport as a physical sport. “An archer’s mental discipline matches an archer’s physical performance” -Mrs. Duncan.
