On Monday, January 31st our bowling team competed in Le Mars. At this triangular meet our team beat West Sioux but lost to Le Mars. However, our varsity teams did not go down without a fight. For girls Varsity Olivia Flewelling went out throwing games of 227 and 244. Mattie Dias (195, 214) and Breanna Staab (200, 179) also bowled well above average. This left Olivia and Mattie with a new season high. For Varsity boys they had multiple young men throw 400+ in their two game series. Austin Schwickerath led the way with 432 (224, 208). Caleb Gravenish made the most of his first varsity start with shooting games of 246 and 182 leaving him with a 428 series. Colbey Penning (194, 225) and Austin Klein (236, 174) also shot well. As for the JV teams the boys were led by Carver Miller (189,191) and Braxton Allen (195,152). The JV girls were led by Taytem Pedersen (164, 130) and Caedyn Henrich (124, 152). The JV teams are done for the season, but the Varsity team will compete on February 10 at SBL/West Sioux.
