MMCRU speech
By Abbie Linn
On January 22 our speech team traveled to Sioux City East to compete against other schools. Five of the six groups will be moving on to the state contest held on February 5th in Spencer. MMCRU brought two television newscastings (REAL News and Rural America News), two short films (Mysteries of High School and Everyone Has a Secret), one radio broadcasting (Coffee Talk), and an ensemble acting (The Chili Haunts Me Still) to the competition. Alex Wimmer, the speech coach states, “We had an awesome day at the District contest! All of the students did an excellent job and we are excited to have five groups moving forward. A big congrats to everyone.”
