ENGINE AND COMPRESSION BRAKE ORDINANCE CHEROKEE COUNTY, IOWA ORDINANCE NO. 2021-04
AN ORDINANCE RESTRICTING THE USE OF AN ENGINE AND COMPRESSION BREAKE ON CERTAIN SECONDARY ROADS WITHIN CHEROKEE COUNTY IOWA.
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable and recommended by the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors to create and enforce an ordinance in Cherokee County restricting the use of engine and compression brakes on certain secondary roads within Cherokee County, Iowa.
The purpose of the regulations and requirements of this Ordinance is to restrict the use of engine and compression brakes on F Avenue from highway 3 north to 480th Street and on C16 from P Avenue east to R Avenue. All within Cherokee County, Iowa. The ordinance further provides penalties for violation of said ordinance.
