A Very Short City Council Meeting
by Elaine Rassel I was really hoping for a short City Council meeting as I had to be in Remsen for a Pops Concert at 7 p.m. It happened! The meeting was only 16 minutes long!
There wasn’t much on the agenda. The Council approved Resolution #21-14_”Resolution Transferring Funds”.
Class C Liquor License, Sunday Sales, and Outdoor Permit for the Marcus Community Golf Course was approved by the Council.
Class C Liquor License, Sunday Sales, and Outdoor Permit was approved by the Council for the Old Panhead.
The City Attorney and Chief of Police were not present nor was there any Public Reports given.. Acceptable selling methods for City properties at 313 N. Main Street, 409 Ash Street, and 708 East Cedar Street were explained by City Clerk. The City is accepting bids on any of these properties.
The City of Marcus has purchased (on auction) for $3,375 the 2014 Ford Taurus police car from Aurelia. It is to be used as a back-up car.
The Marcus City Council met in Regular meeting March 8, 2021 at 5 p.m. with Mayor Hansen presiding. Council members present were Ebert, Jenness, Enneking, Klassen and Frangione.
