Q: I have a great job. It pays me well and supports my lifestyle, but I’m not happy doing it. Do I chase my dream job that will keep food on the table or keep what is working financially for me? Thanks!
A: I wish I knew what job you have and which job you wanted! I can understand working at a job that isn’t completely fulfilling, however, if you trade that in for your dream job, and you just add a new stress of barely paying the bills, is it worth it? Would it be worth the anxiety of coming up with rent or mortgage that you haven’t had to deal with yet? That might be something to consider when making that decision. I get more excitement and satisfaction doing what I love, for the people I love, in a community I love, regardless of the salary. If you are going to sleep every night knowing that when you wake up, you’re in a better place mentally, physically, and spiritually, then I hope that is the choice you decide. At the end of the day, you need to do what’s best for you and what makes you happy!
