Scores started in the first inning by both teams at George on Monday. The Royals traveled to face the George-Little Rock Mustangs. MMCRU led the opening inning scoring, 2-1. The Royals kept adding and ended with a big 5th inning. The 6 runs with no response by the home team sealed the 14-1 away-game victory.
Junior Isabelle Richardson pitched the full game. Out of the 21 batters she faced, 4 fanned out. She allowed just 2 hits and 1 run with no walks.
The Royals faced a pair of pitchers; Senior Kami Gerken, normally at Short, led the throwing effort. In her 1.2 innings of pitching she faced 6 batters and allowed 4 runs and a walk. Freshman Viktoria Storm followed for the remainder of the game. Viktoria faced 36 batters. She gave up 5 hits and allowed 14 runs with 3 walks. She sent 8 Royals back to the dugout. Royals scored from Junior Breanna Staab and Senior Mykin Youde (3), Freshman Gracie Schroeder, Senior Kaleigh Gravenish, Junior Isabelle Richardson and Freshman Tia Tentinger (2) each. Staab poked a pair of doubles out of her 4 hits and Tentinger hit 1. Freshman Chloe Alesch put a ball into play for a triple.
