Royals Hold Off G-LR Comeback

The Royals softball team had no standout game on Tuesday June 11 at Sunrise Park in George. What they did was put points on the board throughout the 7-inning game. Junior pitcher Isabelle Richardson held the Mustangs scoreless until the 3rd. Through the 7 innings Richards faced 27 batters, allowing just 4 hits and 5 runs. Senior Kaleigh Gravenish relieved her to finish the game recording just .1 of a game. She faced 3 batters allowing 2 hits.
Junior Breanna Staab brought in 2 runs for the Royals. Freshman Gracie Schroeder hit .750 from her 3 at-bats, scoring once. She hit a single and a triple. Junior Cassie Weiler made the best of her .500 performance scoring 1. Other scorers were senior Mykin Youde and freshman Tia Tentinger.
