MMCRU Boys Track Team Gets Runner up at Districts

On Thursday May 13, the MMCRU boys track team competed at districts. The teams participating in this event were South O’Brien, Lawton-Bronson, St. Mary’s, MMCRU, Akron-Westfield, Siouxland Christian, Harris-Lake Park, Gehlen Catholic, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, Westwood, George-Little Rock, River Valley, and Trinity Christian.
The team rankings were Gehlen Catholic in first having 135 points, MMCRU in second with 87.33, in third place was Lawton-Bronson with 86, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn got fourth place with 76, George-Little Rock got fifth place getting 68 points, South O’Brien in sixth place with 64.66, in seventh place is Westwood with 56, Siouxland Christrian got eighth with 55, in ninth place was Harris-Lake Park with 41, Akron-Westfield got 10th with 31, Trinity Christian got 11th with 10, in 11th place was St. Mary’s with nine and lastly is River Valley in 13th place with six points.
The only first place finisher MMCRU had was Owen Alesch in the open 800 meter run with a time of 2:05.44, thus giving him his ticket to state. Another first place finisher was Brenin Stodden in the 110 meter hurdles, which eventually qualified for state. The boys 4×800 team also qualified for state.
