The MMCRU girls went to compete in the first round of regionals and they placed third with a 457 advancing them to the second round as a team on Monday, May 24.
The lowest scoring team was Central Lyon with the score of 388. Coming in second was South O’ Brien with the score of 422. In third was MMCRU with a score of 457.
The lowest score for MMCRU was Kristina Goth with the score of 110 and then coming in with a tie for second Belle Olson and Sophie Hohbach with the score of 112. Then for third place was Molly Reuter with the score of 112.
Coch Kendra Knapp commented on the meet with, “MMCRU shot 457 as a team in today’s 18 hole first round 1A Regional Golf Tournament, placing the Royals third out of eight teams. The top two teams advance in the first round of regional play, but since the host school (South O’Brien) placed in the top two, the state allows a third team to also advance. So that means the MMCRU girls advance to the second regional round at Holstein on Monday, May 24th!”
