Juniors Breanna Staab and Callie Arens earned a state berth after qualifying through district competition. The class 2A bowling tournament brought 32 high school students to Waterloo for the competition.
Arens’ 596 score for the 3-game series gave her an overall 8th place finish. Teammate Staab bowled a 600, a milestone for bowlers in 3-game series. It was good enough for a 7th place finish.
