Sophomore Gage Johnson, MMCRU 138 pound contender earned a solo MMCRU spot to the state wrestling tournament. The 2023-24 season marks the return of a MMCRU wrestling team. Johnson’s trek gave him state tournament experience. His first round contest was not successful, but his second was. An injury in his next attempt forced him from competition. There are high hopes for a return trip and to bring teammates with him in the coming years.
