On Friday April 30, the MMCRU girls’ track team competed at home. The teams that participated at this event were South O’Brien, MMCRU, Alta-Aurelia, Trinity Christian, Remsen St. Mary’s, and Unity Christian. First place was Unity Christian with 176, South O’Brien got second with 142, Remsen St. Mary’s placed third with 91, MMCRU got fourth with 69, Alta-Aurelia placed fifth with 51, and in sixth placed Trinity Christian with 40 points.
Leading finishers for the Royals were the 4×800 meter relay with Emily Dreckman, Taylor Harpenau, Ellie Reuter, and Hannah Neddermeyer with a time of 11:07.11 getting second. In the Distance Medley, Emily Dreckman, Taylor Harpenau, Ellie Reuter, and Hannah Neddermeyer with a time of 4:49.19 received second place. Lastly we had Taylor Harpenau get second in the shot put with a throw of 31-10.50 feet.
