On Thursday, May 6, the MMCRU boys track team competed at West Sioux. The teams participating in this event were Lawton-Bronson, Hinton, Alcester-Hudson, St. Mary’s, Akron-Westfield, Gehlen Catholic, Westwood, MMCRU, and West Sioux. The team rankings are as follows: Gehlen Catholic in first place with 155.5, in second place is Lawton-Bronson with 93, MMCRU in third with 92, West Sioux got fourth with 89. In fifth place is Hinton with 67.5, in sixth place is Westwood with 49, Akron-Westfield in seventh with 28, St. Mary’s in 8th place with 12, and Alcester-Hudson in ninth with two points.
The events that got first in this track meet were Owen Alesch in the open 800 with a time of 2:07.48. Brayden Dirks in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:54.96. Lastly Kamden Steffen in high jump with a jump of 5-08.
