The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 with Rick Mongan, Bryan Petersen, Duane Mummert and Cheryl Ellis present.  Absent was Dave Skou. Erin Rydgren represented the press. Kelly Puhrmann and Sarah Tracy were also in attendance.  Unless otherwise indicated, all votes were offered as follows:  Ayes – Ellis, Mummert, Petersen, Mongan; Nayes – none; Abstentions – none.

Chairman Mongan called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Mummert, seconded by Ellis to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Petersen, seconded by Ellis to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried.

Sarah Tracy, County Engineer, presented utility permits for consideration.
Motion by Ellis, seconded by Petersen to approve an underground construction on county right of way application for MidAmerican Energy to bore fiber on the west side of F Ave in Cherokee County in Sections 1 and 2 of Amherst Township; and Sections 35 and 36 of Marcus Township. Motion carried.
Sarah Tracy gave updates on county construction projects. She has talked to the appraiser at length about the F Ave project; he will be sending out appraisals soon. She is working with the Farm to Market Advisory Board on the 480th St vacation. There are three projects that are nearing completion as we approach winter.
There being no further business, Chairman Mongan called for a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Motion by Mummert, seconded by Petersen to adjourn the meeting at 9:09 a.m.
