On April 6, the MMCRU boys’ golf team put up a hard fight, playing in the bad weather but ended up coming up short to Western Christian with a score of 189-171.
The lowest score went to Caleb Douma from Western with a great score of 38. For second place there was a tie between Cade Pepper from MMCRU and Leyton Roetman from Western with a score of 43. Cade Pepper earned the second place medal by winning the tie breaker hole. Third and fourth place went to Cole Feenstra and Eli Van Essan with the score of 45. The rest of the scores for the match ended with Caden Sand with the score of 51, Cody Evans with a 56 and Eric Broadway with the score of 59.
Coach Mark Schuttler commented on the meet with, “The boys played well considering the wind. We have to become more consistent in our scoring to compete better going forward.”
