MMC Insider Eban Hicks

By Brayden Dirks
This week for the senior spotlight we will be showcasing Eban Hicks. Eban lives in Marcus with his parents Kim and Omar; and his brother and sister. Eban plans to go to college next year for manufacturing.
Eban has been involved in baseball for all four years, track for all four, football for all four, SkillsUSA for all four, Speech for all four, band for all four, Madrigal, and basketball for one year. He has lettered every year in track, football, and baseball. He was voted Offensive MVP for football his senior year, and has won various medals in tracks. His favorite year school is senior year because he is able to work his dream job, a manufacturing job, and his class is at the top of the school. He has no particular memory from high school as his favorite but he always enjoyed being with friends and joking around. Eban says his greatest accomplishment in high school was getting through it stress-free with good grades.
Outside of school, Eban enjoys hanging out with friends and playing video games. He has also worked two jobs: Pizza Ranch in Marcus and a manufacturing job. His favorite school lunch is crispitos and his favorite food is fettuccine. Eban’s favorite movie is the Iron Giant and his favorite show is Money Heist. His biggest pet peeve is when people chew with their mouth open. His biggest fears are needles, heights, and spiders. Eban has several pieces of advice to underclassmen: don’t be afraid to try new things, get help if you need it, and always be a good person. He says that what he hopes to accomplish in life is getting a great job, great family, and living stress-free. Eban wants to be remembered as a nice person to everyone.
