Lady Royals Break School Records in 2021 Season
The Lady Royals Season came to a close two weeks ago after losing the third round of the playoffs to Gehlen Catholic. The Royals finished with a 16-11 record this season, and set some impressive records in the process. In four years, the class of 2022 has earned 6 of the 7 career school records including career kills, assists, ace serves, serve efficiency, digs, and blocks.
Senior Ellie Hilbrands now holds the record for career kills with 794 total. Right behind her is fellow Senior Emily Dreckman, who had 612 and now holds the 3rd place spot.
The Royals set records in the assist category as well. Senior Taylor Harpenau will graduate with 1,150 career assists and hold the school record by over 500. Harpenau also holds the school record for career ace serves with 87, and ties the serve efficiency record of .944 set by Faith Olson back in 2019.
Ellie Hilbrands holds the record for career digs with 697, and Emily Dreckman holds the career blocking record with 239.
The Royals graduate 8 seniors from the class of 2022.
