MMCRU may have only had one win this season, but this was the best Royals team we have seen statistically since 2015 when MMC and RU began whole grade sharing. The Royals finished the season with 2,073 total yards of offence and 107 points scored. They also set a new record in rushing yardage, with 891 yards, and passing yardage, with 1,182 yards.
Junior KC Nicks leads the Royals all time passing list with 1,392 yards on his career. Sophomore Jonah Petersen is 3rd on the list with 657 yards after starting in only 4 games. Nicks leads the Royals in career passing touchdowns with 10.
Senior Eban Hicks made it to second place all-time in career rushing yards with 745. In 2021 alone he carried for 502.
Senior Preston Astidias leads the Royals in career receiving yards with 465. Senior Brenin Stodden is 3rd all-time with 297 yards. Freshman Jace Colling and Sophomore Kyler Bork hold the #7 and #8 spots for career receptions, and are expected to lead the list by the end of their career.
Defensively the Royals set a new record for career tackles. Senior Brenin Stodden finished his career with 175 tackles, breaking the old record of 124.5 set by Hunter Tentinger back in 2017. Stodden also set a season record with 79.5 tackles.
The Royals kicking game was the best in school history as well this season. Senior Brenin Stodden 9 of 13 on extra points, and Senior Preston Astidias was 2 of 5. Stodden also became the first Royal to make a field goal, hitting from 25 yards out against Lawton-Bronson. Stodden leads the Royals in career kickoffs with 49 kicks for 2,089 yards and 3 career touchbacks. Stodden leads the Royals in career punting as well, with 65 punts for 2,320 yards.
