United Bank of Iowa Donates to MMC Community Ministries Food Pantry

United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,073 to the MMC Community Ministries Food Pantry. This money was raised during United Bank of Iowa’s UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort.
The goal of United Bank of Iowa’s Cause Day effort is to give employees the opportunity to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays of each month, UBI employees from all 36 locations have the option to donate $5.00 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER T-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions from all 36 locations.
The MMC Community Ministries Food Pantry was the lucky recipient of United Bank of Iowa’s January 10, 2025, Cause Day donation. The donation will assist people in the Marcus area including elderly, unable to work, disabled, unemployed, or those facing other life situations which have caused them to need assistance with food security.
Since September, 2020, United Bank of Iowa has donated $221,199.00 to 104 causes in their market area. For more information, go to www.unitedbk.bank.
