Cherokee PRCA Rodeo taking applications for Leader in Ag scholarships
The Cherokee PRCA Rodeo board is proud to announce the second annual $10,000 Leader in Agriculture Scholarship to be awarded in the spring of 2025. This scholarship will be available to high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about agriculture and our community.
Eligible applicants must have graduated from a high school or home school program in Cherokee, Ida, Buena Vista, O’Brien, Plymouth or Woodbury Counties. Pursuit of an ag-related degree or trade is a must. It is not required that the applicant be a rodeo athlete.
Applications and eligibility guidelines can be found on the Cherokee Rodeo website at www.cherokeerodeo.inc. Students must provide a completed application, written essay, references, and a letter of recommendation. Selected applicants will participate in a face to face conversation with the Cherokee Rodeo Scholarship Committee. Successful recipients and all other applicants may re-apply and be added to the new pool for the opportunity to be awarded this scholarship.
