In Loving Memory of La Donna (Loutsch) McClintock
October 19, 1933 – September 22, 2024
La Donna (Loutsch) McClintock, 90, of Omaha, NE, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, at Valhaven Nursing Home in Valley, NE, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus, Iowa. Visitation with family present will be at 9:30 am in the back of the church. Father Tim Pick will officiate the service. Following the service, La Donna will be laid to rest at Holy Name Cemetery.
La Donna was born on October 19, 1933, in Remsen, Iowa, to John and Clara Loutsch. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1951 and worked at the telephone company and the Remsen Bank.
On February 13, 1954, La Donna married Tom McClintock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. They moved to a family farm in Marcus, where La Donna helped manage the farm until 1994. After selling the farm, the couple relocated to Omaha in 1995 to be closer to family. In Omaha, she worked in maintenance at Eagle Run Apartments and assisted with youth softball fields.
La Donna treasured her time with family and friends, especially watching her grandchildren play sports. Known for her hardworking spirit, she often enjoyed projects like baking and cleaning. She had a love for horses, dancing and watching her favorite TV shows.
She is survived by her three children: Julie (Scott) Peck of Omaha, Dennis (Kim) McClintock of Omaha, and Steve McClintock of Omaha; her brother-in-law, Ron McClintock; four grandchildren: Tara and Zack Peck, Matt (Jenn), and Brandon McClintock; and three great-grandchildren: Zaiden Peck, Izabella, and Alexxis McClintock.
La Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom McClintock; her three brothers: Elmer (Cyrilla) Loutsch, Earl (Lois) Loutsch, and Richard (in infancy); two sisters: Martha (Michael) Gengler and Norma Ann (in infancy); three brothers-in-law: Jim, Bill, and Joe McClintock; three sisters-in-law: Mary, Joan, and Joyce McClintock; and an infant son, Joseph Edwards.
