MMCRU Cheerleading
By: MMCRU Andrea Torhus
This years’ football cheerleaders at MMCRU have been keeping the spirits high during the Friday Night Lights. Allissa Rupp, a junior at MMCRU, is one of the cheerleaders. She has been in cheerleading since her freshman year. Rupp’s favorite memory from cheerleading is attending the state competition that year. However, her favorite part of cheerleading is not only the competition, but also the Friday football games. When asked why cheerleading is important, Rupp replied, “It gets the crowd involved.” Something Rupp thinks is that not many people know how hard cheerleading actually is, and how much work and effort you have to put into it. To those that are debating trying out for football cheerleading next season, here is a tip from Allissa: “You should all tryout for cheerleading, it is really fun, you won’t regret it.”
