Community School District Board of Directors met in special session on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 3:45pm in the MMC Board Room, Marcus, IA. Board members present: Laura Staab, Belinda Leavitt, Dan Erickson, and Kristi Letsche. Absent: Luke Olson.
I. CALL TO ORDER
Laura Staab called the meeting to order at 3:45pm
II.APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Belinda Leavitt moved to approve the agenda with the addition of business item “D. Music Sound Shells”. Dan Erickson seconded.

III. BUSINESS
A. RATIFY CERTIFIED ASSOCIATION AGREEMENTS
Dan Erickson moved to ratify the Certified Association Agreement with the base salary increase of $1000.00 for a total without TSS of #33,250. A returning 24-25 teacher increase of $1200.00. With the TSS supplement funding this results in a minimum of 9% increase for FTE and a total average package increase of 12.45% on wages. Returning non-TSS qualifying staff for 24-25 will receive an increase of $1,600.00; a 4% increase. Kristi Letsche seconded.

B. LICENSED AND COACHING CONTRACTS
Belinda Leavitt moved to approve the 24-25 licensed and coaching contracts. Dan Erickson seconded.

C. CLASSIFIED WORK ASSIGNMENTS
Kristi Letsche moved to approve the total package increase of 4.06% on wages for 24-25 returning classified staff of custodial, secretarial, cooks, and para-professionals. Returning bus drivers will receive 4.02% on wages. Belinda Leavitt seconded.

D. PURCHASE OF MUSIC SOUND SHELLS
Kristi Letsche moved to approve the purchase of sound shells to be used by both the Elementary and High School music classes starting in the 24-25 school year. The cost of the sound shells will be reimbursed by the Boosters, and the Music Booster account. Dan Erickson seconded.
