Anonymous Income Survey
The City of Marcus will soon be asking residents to complete an anonymous income survey.
The survey is needed to update U.S. Census information and determine the city’s eligibility to apply for grant funding through the Iowa Economic Development Administration and other agencies for water and sewer improvements.
Without the completion of this survey, the City will be unable to apply to state and federal funding sources. Any funds received can help reduce the financial burden on the city and its residents.
The survey will only take a few minutes to complete, and an unmarked envelope will be included for privacy. Fire Department volunteers will be stopping by homes to drop off surveys on Wednesday, August 23rd, beginning at 6:30 PM. Surveys will be collected the same evening. Residents can also drop off their completed survey to a drop box at city hall on or before Thursday, August 31st.
NO CITY EMPLOYEE OR OFFICIAL SHALL HAVE ACCESS TO INDIVIDUAL RESULTS OF THE SURVEY. Residents’ responses will be kept in strictest confidence with only a summary of the results made available or used in reporting.
If you have any questions or wish to become more involved, contact City Hall at 712-376-4715 or marcus@midlands.net.
