The MMCRU FFA Team received a Bronze award in the annual Iowa FFA Poultry Evaluation Career Development Event held at Iowa State University on April 18, 2023. Members of the Bronze team included: Josh Doellinger, Patience Nissen-Teepe, Olivia Spenner, and Deanna Partridge.  The FFA Poultry Evaluation Evaluation Career Development Event provides an opportunity for FFA members to display their agricultural knowledge and skills in the area of Poultry Evaluation. Activities included: placing classes of live poultry; placing and grading classes of ready to cook poultry; grading classes of egg interiors and exteriors; identifying and grading further processed poultry products, and a poultry production examination. There were 525 members participating from 140 chapters. The Poultry Evaluation and Technology Career Development Event was coordinated and conducted by Dawn Koltes and the Poultry Science Staff of the Animal Science Department at Iowa State University. The Iowa FFA Poultry Evaluation Career Development Event was made possible with support through the Iowa FFA Foundation Gold Standard Donors.
