Heartland Care Center had announced last week that the Easter Bunny was coming to the Center on Sunday, April 2. There was going to be an Easter Egg Hunt and kids were invited to come at 1:30 p.m.
Residents began filling the plastic eggs with an assortment of candy. The weather was just right as helpers began hiding the eggs outside earlier for the “hunt”.
There were some residents that came outside to watch the kids in action!
Before 1 o’clock, the Heartland parking lot was full of cars. Kids were seen standing patiently waiting for the “Get Ready, Set, and Go!” Kids had all kinds of containers—anything that would hold what was in the plastic eggs! There were adults that came with some of the younger kids and they seemed to be as enthused as the kids were!
As the time became closer to 1:30, the Easter Bunny let the kids know where some of the eggs could be found. Then the Easter Bunny stood aside and said, “Get Ready, Set, and Go!” Off they went! Some had their container filled in no time at all. Many kids were satisfied with just a few eggs and quickly sat down and began to open them and empty the candy out. There were boxes that the empty plastic eggs were left off at and be ready for next year.
Thanks to Heartland Care Center for having the kids come for a traditional Easter Egg Hunt!
