MMCRU 5th – 12th Choir Pops Concert

The Choir Pops Choir was scheduled for Thursday night (March 9) at Remsen however, more snow arrived on Thursday and would there still be the Pops Concert? Yes, people did arrive and the Concert went on as scheduled! Choir Director is Ms. Breeana De Vos and Piano Accompanist was Ms. Kay Krekow.
The fifth graders took to the risers with their first song, “Junk Band Boogie”. Hand clapping accompanied this song. Soloist, Caitlin Wetter from the High School Choir, sang “Stupid in Love from Mean Girls”.
Their next song had all boys from Grade 5 through High School singing “Barbara Ann” from Beach Boys. Hope Russell, from the High School Choir, sang “Both Sides Now”.
The girls from Grade 5 through High School let the audience know that there “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”. There were a lot of hand motions to let us know the height was “way up and over there”! “I Want More” was their last song.
Grade 5 Choir members are: Emma Barinsky, Keaton Dreckman, Katrina Easton, Reagen Geerdes, Zarie Hanson, Bentley Hill, KinziMae Hinkeldey, Eibhlin Hogg, Dryver Homan, Treton Huff, Oneria Johnson, Cooper McKinney, Courtney Medard, Leah Mos, Conner Nothem, Carlos Perez Perez, Toriana Poeckes, Natalie Poulsen, Isaac Schneider, Devin Scott, and Nevaeh Villarreal.
The Sixth Grade girls stayed on the risers and sang, “Flashlight” This song involved the group having “lights” with them. In fact, there were all kinds of lights, some from cell phones, that were seen in the audience.
