Local Pheasants Forever Chapter taking applications for Licklider Scholarship
The Cherokee County Pheasants Forever chapter be taking applications for their 2023 Les Licklider scholarship program. This scholarship was created to recognize long time conservation educator, Les Licklider; and the contributions he made in promoting conservation and the outdoors. The $1000 scholarship is for a graduation high school senior that resides in Cherokee County; has a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average, and pursuing a career in a conservation, natural resources, environmental education, conservation law enforcement, agriculture, biology, or other related field – at an accredited institution of higher learning. Applications for this scholarship will be available from area high school guidance counselors or from Cherokee PF youth coordinator, Brian Lauck. This completed applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
