The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Community School District Board of Directors met in special session on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 6:30pm at the MMC Principal’s Office, Marcus, IA. Board members present: Karla Prunty, Belinda Leavitt and Luke Olson, and Laura Staab. Absent: Danae Dreckman.
I.CALL TO ORDER
Laura Staab called the meeting to order at 6:30PM.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Luke Olson moved to approve the agenda. Karla Prunty seconded.
Carried 4-0
III. BUSINESS
A. BOARD RESPONSE TO MMCEA INITIAL BARGAINING PROPOSAL
The Board presented an increase of $1,500 per 1 FTE Licensed Staff member or a percentage increase of 3.57% as their initial bargaining proposal.
B. BOARD RESPONSE TO MMCCA INITIAL BARGAINNG PROPOSAL
The Board presented an increase of $0.55 per hour for each hourly Classified member and a $70.00 per month increase for each bus driver, or a percentage increase of 4.10% and 4.18%, respectively, as their initial bargaining proposal.
IV. ADJOURN
Karla Prunty moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:47PM. Luke Olson seconded.
