This week’s senior spotlight is featuring Emma Vasher. Emma is the daughter of Ali and Al Vasher and her step-mom Heidi. She has four older sisters; Bailey, Jasi, Rian, and Maggie. Emma has been very involved during her high school career as she participates in football cheer, competition cheer, speech, NHS, FFA, Skills USA, archery, youth group, LYF, and school plays and musicals. Outside of school she likes hanging out with her friends, working at the nursing home, and babysitting. Emma’s favorite memories of highschool are the deep conversations in classrooms. Advice she has for freshmen is,”Make sure to care about your classes and grades freshman year, don’t slack. Be sure to get involved in anything you can.” When asked what her greatest accomplishment was in high school, Emma said, “Maintaining a job while keeping my grades up and participating in extra circle activities.” Emma has had various jobs throughout high school including working at Jeff’s Foods in Marcus, the Heartland Care Center, and babysitting. Her biggest fear is failure, she likes to succeed at things and not let anybody down. After high school Emma plans to attend Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa to study elementary education and be on the cheerleading team. In life Emma would like to accomplish being successful at her job and having a great family.
