Street Superintendent, Matt Dreckman presented the Public Works report to the Council stating that the Public Works has been unusually busy at this time. The swimming pool has been winterized. He presented a soil and compaction bid for street repair at the intersection of Holmes Street and Reagan Street—corner by Carl Nelson. Paving will be done by VanderPol if they have time yet this fall and if the weather cooperates—otherwise they will do it next spring. Weather permitting, there is a section on Ridgeway Drive that will be replaced in the future weeks. On the south side of Fenton Street by Ridgeway Drive, a storm sewer will be installed. While the school is hooking a new sewer line into the main, a section of street will be replaced at Fenton and Beech Street. As long as the school is doing the sewer line, it would be the right time to repair this section as it is deemed a necessary repair.
The contract with CTS for soil and compaction testing at Holmes Street and Reagan Street was approved by the Council.
