New Faces at MMCRU
Who are the new faces in MMCRU? Two of the new staff are Brandon Weisert and Kendra Knapp. We interviewed two new staff members and these are the five questions asked: “What are your strengths and weaknesses? What do you plan to improve about the school? Improvements are needed with school lunches, what changes can be made? What past job experience do you have? Why did you choose MMCRU?”
The first staff interviewed was Brandon Weisert, he is the new principal here at MMCRU. Last week the students in Ms. Ly’s communications class sent out a Google form with questions created by students for all new teachers to fill out. When Weisert was asked about his strengths and weaknesses he shared that he is a very organized person and always makes sure his office and calendar are neat. Two weaknesses he shared are making daily goals achievable and can sometimes start a project he can not or does not want to complete. One thing he does in fact plan to do is improve the feeling students and staff has when they walk through those doors.
Besides obtaining a new principal, MMCRU gained a new science teacher: Kendra Knapp. Originally, Knapp taught science at the Remsen middle school before transferring to the high school. During the interview, she shares her strengths and weaknesses as an educator. Knapp states her strength is multitasking effectively. She is able to juggle multiple tasks at the same time and get them accomplished in a timely manner and her weakness is she is really bad at saying no. Mrs. Knapp hopes to impr9ove staff morale and get people talking to each other out of their own “bubble.”
