Sheep and Flowers!

What do sheep and flowers have in common? If you went to the MMCRU High School on Friday and Saturday, you would find the answer.
We were greeted by baa, baa as we neared the Greenhouse. North of the Greenhouse, is a smaller building that this year, has sheep in it. The FFA students are responsible for feeding them and letting them out at certain times and that means even on weekends. This is called Responsibility! When we arrived, the four sheep were standing along the fence line but not for long. A student had gone into the building and as soon as she came out, they ran to their feeding bowls! They knew she was coming with some food!
Then we went into the Greenhouse where there were all kinds of flowers ready to be bought and put out. There were some evergreens they had started from small but still weren’t that big yet.
There were two places where water was constantly running and watering plants that had no dirt around them. (There is a name for this, but I don’t know what it is?!)
The FFA group has been busy this year. While there are some students that want nothing to do with animals and flowers as well as other items that FFA students are interested in doing, the FFA students like what they are learning and hope to be able to use this knowledge after they graduate.
