On Wednesday, April 27th the MMCRU high school came together and took care of the community. The students and teachers were split into groups and assigned different tasks to help keep our community clean. The students helped by working at the golf course, working at the Cleghorn school, complete yard work, clean up the ditches outside of town and end of main street, landscaping at the school, sort library books, clean up Beck Park, wash busses and the bus barn, wash city hall tables, wash windows at Heartland Care Center, scrape and paint a garage, pick up sticks, stain and paint at the fairgrounds, and pile sticks up at the the W lawn, vet clinic and Methodist church. Amanda Lynch and the NHS put together the service day for all the staff and students. Amanda and the NHS group put together everything for our service day to run as smoothly as possible. They had 13 different groups doing different activities. We have the best and most supportive communities and it was a way to give back. We are always looking for new ways to say thank you to our communities for being helpful and supportive to MMCRU.
