Royals on the Road
These past couple of weeks the Royals have had a multitude of field trips that they have been on. Two weeks ago the Sophomores attended a career day. They toured local businesses and learned about a bunch of careers to potentially spark their interest in a job or career path. A group of art students traveled to NCC for an Art Show. They got the chance to talk to three professionals about art. One of the students, Mekhi Armstrong received two awards for one of his paintings that he had done earlier in the year. The awards were “Best Painting Voted by Judges” and “Best Painting Voted on by the Teachers”. Diamond VanDerschaaf also received an award for 3rd place in “Digital Media”. Students that are a part of the National Honors Society went on a field trip to the Omaha Zoo. The shop program took some students to the Northwest Iowa Tech Fair. At the fair the students got to see the newest and greatest advancements in the tech field. The group also brought projects they’ve been working on to present at the fair. These are just the most recent school trips, MMCRU students have been busy at many other field trips this school year. MMCRU students are lucky to have so many opportunities to learn outside the classroom and showcase what they’ve been working hard on inside the classroom!
