The Lady Royals hosted the MMCRU Co-ed Relays Monday, April 4th. Teams from Kingsley-Pierson/Woodbury Central, Remsen St. Mary’s, Siouxland Christian, Akron-Westfield, and George-Little Rock were all in attendance. The Royals are a rather young team, but were able to compete well in several events. Senior Emily Dreckman took home the first place spot in the high jump with a jump of 4’ 10”, and junior Hannah Neddermeyer took second place with a 4’ 8” jump.
The Royals would also place in the shot put. Freshman Deanna Partridge placed 3rd with a throw of 26’ 1”. Freshman Olivia Spenner placed 6th in shot put and 2nd in discus.
KP/WC’s Aubree Bell set a new track record in the girls 100 meter dash, running a 12.62. The record was formerly held by MMC’s Erica Dreckman, who ran a 12.85 back in 2011.
KP/WC would take home first place in the meet, scoring 217 total team points. MMCRU came in second with 113 points. Remsen St. Marys took home 3rd with 64 points.
